IAF/ILAC
Dear IAF and ILAC Members,
Please find below information regarding the registration details for the upcoming ILAC and IAF Virtual Meetings taking place between 22 October and 15 December, 2020. Please feel free to distribute this notice to your colleagues.
An official meeting website has been developed with information regarding online registration, file sharing, and details about the virtual programming. See: https://ilaciafmeetings.org/
By exception, there are no registration fees to attend this series of meetings. Further details and joining instructions will be sent to each participant closer to the date of the meetings for which they are registered. All members of ILAC and IAF are welcome to join the meetings, there are no limits on the number of delegates who can participate virtually.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE FOLLOWING VIRTUAL MEETINGS.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
These meetings will all be held using Zoom. As a result, all participants must meet the following requirements in order to participate virtually:
1. Delegates must have an active Zoom account. (If you don’t have a Zoom account, you can sign up for a free account at www.zoom.us). Please note that the email address you use to sign into your Zoom account and your work email account which you use to register for the meetings do not need to be identical. In order to complete the registration process – you must provide us with the email address you use to login to your Zoom account – so please be certain to create a Zoom account before beginning registration). This step is necessary as some of the meetings require participants to be validated in order to facilitate any voting which might take place during one of these meetings or to establish quorum.
2. Delegates should register to the meetings using their work email address. In order to validate your identity, we request that you register using your work email address. If you are unable to use your work email address to register it may take a longer time to validate your identity and there may be delays in sending you joining instructions and file sharing credentials.
3. Duplicate email addresses are not accepted. Only one email address can be used for each delegate. This means that organizations can not register multiple people using a single email address. Each registrant must use a unique email address in order to complete the registration process.
Queries regarding logistics, registration, etc. should be directed to the event organiser responsible for managing the meetings on behalf of IAF and ILAC:

EA
We are pleased to invite you to 46th EA General Assembly to be held on 25 and 26 November 2020.
The meeting will start on 25 November 2020 at 9.00 am CET and close on 26 November 2020 at 12:30 pm CET.
As was the case in May and for the same reasons, the meeting will be held online; it will be hosted by the Secretariat with MS Teams.
We will circulate the links to the meeting in due course before the GA.
The draft agenda for the meeting will be available on the relevant intranet folder for the meeting.
To register to the meeting, please go to https://intranet.european-accreditation.org/content/survey-event?srv=350
Delegates to the General Assembly are kindly requested to register only one representative, and full members to make sure to register the delegate who is entitled to vote on behalf of their NAB.
We are pleased to remind you that the elections of the new Executive Board (EB) and Technical Management Board (TMB) will take place on the 1st day of the GA.
Nominations for President and Vice-President of EA are closed, but nominations for the other positions remain open until 9.00 am on 25 November 2020.
They shall be made by email through the Secretariat and sent to Andreas.Steinhorst@european-accreditation.org or martine.blum@european-accreditation.org.
The votes will be made online through the usual intranet platform.
The vote for the election of the President of EA will be open at 8.00 am and will close at 10.00 am on 25 November 2020. The objective is to present the results after the morning break.
The votes for the other positions on the EB and TMB will be carried out after the morning break, during the meeting, as is done during face-to-face meetings. Further details will be circulated by the Secretariat before the meeting.
Day 1 of the meeting is open to EA members and recognized stakeholders. In addition to the elections, day 1 will be dedicated to the proposed meeting agenda.
Day 2 will be dedicated to vote on resolutions. It is the reason why the Executive Committee decided to limit access to the 2nd day morning of the meeting to NAB full members.
We remind you that only full members can vote.
As you may have already noticed, on 26 November afternoon, EA will facilitate a special event dedicated to Digitalisation, Accreditation and Conformity Assessment.
The event will start at 2.00 pm CET and will be closed at 5.00 pm. A separate invitation will be circulated soon. Participants will be invited to limit their registration to 2 representatives per organisation.
