Dear ILAC Stakeholder members,
As you may recall the ISO committee on conformity assessment, ISO/CASCO, conducted a survey in mid 2018 following the publication of the 2017 edition of ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
ISO CASCO has now organized a further survey to collect feedback from users of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 on the value of the 2017 version, in comparison to the previous version and whether it has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the laboratory. This survey replaces the one conducted when ISO/IEC 17025 was published in 2017 as the analysis of the results showed that it was too early in the implementation process to get valuable detailed feedback. The ISO CASCO subsequently decided to wait for the end of the transition period, in order to have over 3 years of implementation experience available, to launch this second survey.
It would therefore be appreciated if ILAC Stakeholder members involved in the use of this standard disseminate this information to their members and encourage them to complete the survey and provide their feedback to ISO/CASCO. The link to the survey for ISO/IEC 17025 is: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/63XFD5/
ISO/CASCO would appreciate receiving responses by 10 November 2021 to facilitate review of the feedback and to provide an analysis of the standard post implementation.
